In 2013, there were several members of the community who got together to start up a Selkirk Community Emergency Preparedness team. We met on different occasions and discussed the possible scenarios of what might occur in our community and how we might better prepare ourselves individually and how we could contribute as a whole collectively. This is now our second year.
Recently, we discussed the opportunity to provide a place to share information about emergencies and to provide a place to share information about events. The Selkirk Montessori School is pleased to offer this space on our webpage for this purpose. Here we will list any upcoming events and to offer any updates in the Emergency Preparedness area. Look for more information coming out from our committee in the New Year!
